Hong Kong - Part 2

Last days in HK, sad to leave and to leave Yuriy, hope to see him in less than 3 years now!
We went to see the Big Bouddha, one of the biggest Boudha in the world and have a drink on the highest bar in the world.. and we had a bottle of champagne!!!! Thank you Yuriy for that!
After travelling for 3 months it was really nice to be in a flat and not a hostel room with nothing expect a bed! nice to have really hot showers, really good food that we missed so much, it's nice to change our worn out used shoes and clothes, and be in nice bars and restaurants!
So thanks again to Yuriy who help us to have an amazing week.

Hong Kong - China

HONG KONG! finally we met Yuriy: Digby best friend who is living in HK now and we didn't see since 3 years! A city of lights, which is appropriate with it being Dec 25th as the city is lit up like a Christmas tree. The light show is great, even if the sound track is a little dated. The busy hustle and bustle of Hong Kong sweeps you up of your feet pretty quick with its bright lights, chic bars, clubs and restaurants, air conditioned malls selling the most prestigious products you could hope to find in London, Paris or New York! The skyline is impressive and a little overwhelming after having been out of touch with society. Personal space is a rare commodity but its nice to be back in a cosmopolitan buzzing city. We had a great Christmas lunch BBQ on Yuriy's roof terrace enjoying grilled steak in the sun with a delicious glass of wine. Merry Christmas!!!

Koh Phi Phi - Thailand

Koh Phi Phi - From touristy overdeveloped town to isolated paradise beaches this island has it all.
Expensive western style food or cheap and cheerful fried spicy rice. There are hundreds of dive shops as the diving here is exquisite, visibility up to 20 meters, so Sofi also went diving. There is an abundance of spectacular marine life. The neighboring Island of Phi Phi lay are so beautiful they take your breath away, that is if you avoid the 1000's of other people who try to visit. Especially Maya bay "The Beach", it is really beautiful but so so many other boats and people every were even big  day cruise boats, best to go early like we did.
The relaxed laid back way of life on the island, pearly white sand, perfect turquise blue water, swiming with turtles and 100's of colored fish. This is perhaps one of the places we have been the most sad to leave, we could easily spend 6 months to a year going around these stunning Islands.
