Gold Coast - Australia

Hi Everybody,

Hope everybody goes well with the snow and cold in Europe!!! For us it's fine... temperature day and night doesn't go down 24C......ahahah and we are still enjoying a lot the beach!
Now you must hate us...

So here what's new.... Digby still working at Meesh's, Me still looking for F... jobs!
I had one for one day!!!! the job was to do promotional work on the gold coast for an holidays companie, basicaly my role was to give to people in the street tickets for win holidays...and I was paid on commission only.
I had a sucessfull interwiew and a training but unfortunately they decided to keep only Australian participants , they thought it will be hard for me to give those fucking tickets with my french accent. Doesn't matter... hopefully will find a proper job soon....

Otherwise we went finally to Currunbin cenctuary where we finally saw KOALAS AND KANGOROOS!!!
We wanted to saw them in the wild but everybody told us it's quite impossible to see Koalas in the wild the best is to go to this place.About Kangoroos we will certainely see some in the future, more in the bush not here.

So let's go...we had an amazing day... Koalas are the cutest thing ever!! lot them!
And Kangoroos are funny.... not wild animals at all!
we saw also tree kangoroos, and lot of animals who lives in Australia.
We also did an activity : game in the raining forest... it was really funny even if it was raining so much just at this moment!!

Thoses 2 weeks are quite nice on the Gold coast.. The bleach festivals who just start today on Coolangatta: lot of activities as concert, vintage markets, vintage surfboards markets, bikinis exibition etc..
Also the Surf pro competion in Burleigh and .... THE BLACK LIPS in concert the 1rst of March! We've got the tickets! apparentely it will be huge, more than 10000 personnes!

Kirra and Burleigh Heads - Australia

So as I said in our last post we are now living in Kirra, small beach closed by Coolangatta, 15min south Burleigh Heads.
Digby is now travelling between Burleigh and Kirra and Sophie is still looking for job on the Gold coast.
Here some pictures of our new flat, it's a really nice place,easy to live, and and it's actually a small house, first time we actually have our own house!
Unfortunately the weather last week was absolutely horrible, big storm everyday!it  was never stop raining! yes don't forget we are in a tropical zone! and here when it's rain IT'S RAIN!!!!
And the sea is so bad nobody can Surf or anything..
Just walk 5 min outsite it'slike beeing under a shower!
Luckely this week the sun is back!
Also for the Surf competition it was really hard, they postponed lot of days because the sea was too bad for Surf, so finally on Saturday they finished everything in 1 Day!
It was not easy at all for the surfers, lot of waves but not good one for surf.. lot of participants was ennoyed to loose because for them they just didn't have any waves!
But we have the 2 Winners, man from Bresil and the Girl from Hawai( and they are in couple! cute)CONGRATULATION !
Last Tursday it was AUSTRALIA DAY! It's a bank holliday and all australian go outside have barbecues...
They were lucky that day the rain was not so bad and lot of them managed to have barbecues outside and on the beach.
They are really proud of them country, they all wear clothes with Australian flags, out fake tatoo with the flags, all the cars have the flags and they wish to everybody HAPPY AUSTRLIA DAY! it's a big thing here!
I never saw anyone on Bastille day in France with a french flag on his car and dress up only with clothes who as french flags on them !
