Senegal- Saly part 2

Wow! again so many new experiences. Eating the fresh fish Digby caught cooked by friends in a local restaurant. Sofi tried a wig worn by African women, they are so warm we have no idea how they manage to wear them all day it must be so hot. We speak under a large tree with the local drinking mint tea, Sofi meets and an amazing gymnast who can do several backflips just of one hand. Then he asks us to join in with him. Goats are king in Senegal they eat everything and roam free all around the village nobody seems to bothered about were there own goats are or what they eat, even though wesawone eating a plastic bag.
There seem to be two main modes of transport here pergeout 305 from the 60's that have been rebuilt and modified and horse and cart (or as in the picture donkey and kart). Many of the locals can't swim even the fishermen so Digby plays inthe water with the kids and tries to teach them to swim, some better than others.
Because of the frequent power cuts there is little or no refrigeration so all the food is fresh that day the fish is caught each morning and the animalsfor meat slaughtered and 20-30 min later they are being cooked. This is great for fish but for meat means its not left to cure at all and if often very chewy and hard to eat, so we eat maily fish.
All the people here are so nice and kind, they are so hospitable and friendly every day we are suprised again by the gentes. All the best,
D+S
