Buenos Aires - Argentina

After spending 2 days in Chile we came back to Argentina as we could not miss the famous Buenos Aires.

If Santiago is Barcelonna in Europe , Buenos Aires is Paris in the late 80's!
When we got off the plane we took one of the local buses for go to the center, and our first impression to the city was: it reminded sofie of Paris! The same kind of buildings, streets, etc..
But i have to say the North of Paris... Gare du Nord, Cligancourt etc... so a little bit dirty and full of peoples who we have to be warey of so as not to get robed!

But after a walk in the city center we saw the busy center with deluxe shops like Paris, small cafe and bar really lovely.
Everywhere we could see people giving out Argentinian flags, and small badges with the national colors, we didn't know why, until we arrived at the most famous distric: plaza y Avenue de 25 mayo... We were the 24th of May so we imidiately understood than the next day will be the National day! ( and also Sophie's  Saint day in France !, Digby didn't care it was Saint Sophie day)

And yes the next day we were walking in the street and everything was closed! only people in the street who looked homeless. (like us ;)
We were not so confident to walk alone in the street with our blond hair.

We finally arrived at La Boca, the oldest neighborood of the city and the mother distric of the Tango!
It was absolutely beautiful! it reminded us a little bit the spirit of Montmarte in Paris again.
All the houses are coloufull, all the cafe and restaurant are really cute and all of them offer a Tango show.
Some peoples was also dancing in the street.
The only thing is as i said like Montmartre so it's full of Touristes and everybody play the show for the tourists! but it something we have to see in Buenos Aires.

We also went to San Telmo:  an old place with all kind of markets but specially antique market.

Our 2 days in Buenos Aires were really busy and we saw allot of different things, it was really worth it to go back to Argentina fto see this vibrant city.

Tomorrow we will take a bus for 24hr, cross all north of Argentina and end up in a Bolivian border town, from there a train or other bus will take us further into the country....
